He's Home!!!
It took FOREVER, but we are finally out of the hospital and at home safe and sound with Koen. Luckily we got him into his car seat, and back into his new bassinet without too much commotion, and he is sleeping for the time being.
Some at home photos / more hospital photos soon :) Right now it’s time for Mom and Dad nourishment…. PIZZA!

Koen is 1 day old!
We finally have endured our first day as new parents. Mommy is breast feeding all the time, and daddy changed his first poopy diaper! Danielle is feeling better, has been up walking, and hopefully we will finally be able to take our little bundle home tomorrow! Thank you to everyone for their love and support, and I’m sure there will be more pictures throughout the day!
Everything is O.K.
After receiving an epidural, everything seemed to be going smoothly, and Danielle was making slight progress, but a sudden drop in baby’s heart rate brought up quite a frightening commotion, but luckily the doctor’s were able to stabilize baby’s heart rate, and Dr. Shaman was called, I put on my scrubs, and we got Koen outta there. C-Section style. The surgery went WONDERFUL....
Koen is doing very well and danielle is recovering great!! More photos soon! If anyone has tried to call be patient! We have been b

dilation is up to 3 cm, and contractions a little stronger! Maybe baby, tonight?

Still no progress, the dosage of Pitocin is being reduced and then gradually brought back up to try to re-stimulate her uterus to contract. If this doesn’t work, she may be far enough along for the doctor to break her water, or it might mean another night of just waiting until the morning for a total restart.
Her blood pressure looks to be slowly getting better which is a good sign. Looks...

Micky D's but still no baby
Haven’t eaten in awhile, so I decided to grab some food and try to force it down. Danielle hasn’t made really any progress since 6 this morning. Still about 2 cm dilated, and she hasn’t really ben having any contractions. Looks like it is going to be a looong rest of the day! More updates coming soon :)
Can't sleep...
Danielle is doing great, she is about 3 cm dialated, and at 6am they will start the pitosin… this is when it will most likely get painful, until she gets an epidural at least.
As far as me, im on a fold-out chair bed, that feels like im laying on a giant spring, finishing up the last few things for the gm corvette game. Danielle is getting drugs to make her go to sleep, maybe I will...

Oh! I got my mini-DVI to DVI converter in the mail, now just to wait for my monitor to come in, then I can finally start developing on a decent size screen at home.. so excited :)

Last minute preparation
Sunday is the day! We have to arrive at the hospital at 6:30 - 7:00 pm.. Then the process begins!
Since we’ve got the word from the doctor, here is what we’ve done so far / still need to do:
buy bassinet cover so the cat won’t get into the bassinet
get snacks / magazines / other things for the duration of being at the hospital.
bust out the megaload of chords and start...
